Web 2.0 Badge
In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial you will see how to make a web 2.0 web badge, in my example I use one of the pre made Photoshop shapes to put in the badge, you can type in text or make your own custom shapes if you want, basically the process is the same.
Start by locating the badge custom shape from Photoshop custom shapes tool and draw it on the stage with a default color (we will change the color later).
Now in the layers panel double click the badge shape to get to the layers styles panel and give it settings as shown below.
Now make your text, symbol or custom shape and put in inside your badge shape as I did, then go to the layers styles panel and give it some styles.
Now we will give the badge some reflection so make a new layer above the other layers and name it reflection.
Hold down ctrl key and click the first rectangle shape layer to load the shape selection. Now with the selection tool subtract from selection as shown below.
Now make a gradient going from white to transparent color and apply it to the selection so you get a result like below.
